Role Overview Airmatic is seeking a self-motivated and experienced Design & Project Engineer to join our Ventilation Projects Team. This role involves the design, draughting, and project management of local and general exhaust ventilation (LEV/GEV) systems, seeing projects through from initial client consultation to installation and completion. The position offers flexibility for remote or hybrid working, but semi-regular visits to our Bury headquarters and client sites will be required. Key Responsibilities • Conducting site visits to assess project requirements, take measurements, and design effective extraction solutions. • Producing general assembly and component drawings for fabrication and installation teams. • Managing the full project lifecycle, including planning, procurement, installation, and completion. • Ensuring efficient coordination of invoicing, order placement, and engineer scheduling to meet project deadlines. • Working closely with clients and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution. Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, solutions-oriented, and highly organised. The nature of on-site installations means that unexpected challenges can arise, so the ability to think on your feet and problem-solve under pressure is essential. Meeting project deadlines is critical, as operational shutdowns can be costly for our clients, and we strive to minimise disruptions. While LEV/GEV experience is preferred, we are open to training the right candidate with relevant engineering and project management experience who is looking to transition into this field.
