About the role Our Occupational Hygiene team is expanding, and we are looking for an LEV Consultant to join our team. You will be someone who can undertake inspections, testing, sampling, risk assessments and other activities associated within the fields of Occupational Hygiene with a focus on LEV, whilst maintaining the best interests of the Customer and compliance with statutory requirements. The role requires travel to sites across the Southern part of the UK so good timekeeping and organisation skills is essential. If you are interested in a wide range of other services such as noise and air in a diverse client base, this could be the role for you! Day to day activities Undertaking workplace surveys and evaluating situations in the workplace Assessing risks to health arising from many different factors such as chemicals, noise, or poor local exhaust ventilation Accurately measuring and sampling levels of exposure, often through the precise use of specialised equipment Accurately recording facts and details of procedures in the workplace Finding cost effective solutions to risks to health in workplaces of all types Liaising with a wide range of people in the process of evaluating workplaces Considering all options of control such as local exhaust ventilation, containment, and personal protective equipment What about you? Self-motivated, enthusiastic individual with a high standard of personal performance. Good communication and report writing skills. Ability to organise and prioritise workload, particularly regarding report writing. Flexible and reliable. Ability to use own initiative and work autonomously. Team player. Ability to present information clearly, concisely, and professionally Desire to work towards being a fully certified Occupational Hygienist. Desirable to be proficient in two or more other Occupational Hygiene services. P601 is essential and other LEV accreditations are desirable. The role of Validation Technician includes:- • Visiting client sites to carrying out professional service and validation tasks on Cleanrooms, Containment Facilities, Clean Air Devices and LEV systems • Air Change rates, pressure Differentials, particle counting, filter integrity testing & filter condition tests • Sealability Testing, microbial testing etc • Working with Fume Cupboards/ MBSC/ Laminar Flow Cabinets/ Isolators/ Downflow Booths • LEV Testing To be considered for the role of Validation Technician, you should have relevant experience, as well as:- • Complete validation reports ensuring all contracted tasks are completed. • Minimum 2-4 years experience of Cleanroom/ Containment/ Clean Air Device and LEV Testing • P601 qualification essential as a minimum expectation • The ability to trouble shoot facility and/ or device failures to recommend remedial action/ repair by manufacturer. You should also have:- • Excellent time management for job preparation and delivery / attention to appearance, car and uniform. • The ability to mentor and support trainee technicians. • The ability to travel UK countrywide including overnight stays where required.
