JOB & COMPANY OVERVIEW

As well as new installations, our Service Department carry out annual servicing, repairs and commissioning of Microbiological Safety Cabinets, Laminar Flow Cabinets, LEV’s, Fume Cupboards, and Associated extract systems.  Due to high demand in this field, we are continuing to grow our rapidly expanding team of Engineers.  We have an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic and well-rounded engineers, with immediate starts available.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Your core responsibility will be to visit customer sites to execute Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) servicing projects and cleanroom validation works.  The successful candidates will be predominantly based in the field.

The role involves visiting our customers’ premises to perform servicing/inspection of their assets, as well as building long-term relationships with clients.  The engineer will issue certification to confirm that assets are operating safely and are conforming to current standards.  In addition to carrying out servicing, a large part of the role will involve fault-finding, repairs and commissioning.  Use of the fault-finding methodology to root-cause mechanical and electrical system failures.

Liaise with internal members of staff as well as external clients to ensure progress is maintained and deadlines are met.  You will be expected to maintain and build strong client relationships while demonstrating high standards of personal presentation and professional integrity.

PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

We are looking for applicants who are reliable, self-motivated and enthusiastic.  Above all, they must be personable and good communicators.  You will be proficient in the use of Microsoft EXCEL and Microsoft WORD.  Previous experience in this industry is not essential.  Training will be provided to close any knowledge gaps and complement existing skill sets.  A background in electrical or mechanical fault-finding and/or service repairs would be looked upon favourably.  A full UK driving licence is essential.

SALARY AND PACKAGE

We offer a competitive salary which will be dependent on qualifications and experience.  The package will include a company vehicle (small van), mobile phone, tablet, laptop, test instrumentation, PPE, work-wear and tools.

We will provide a full training package, which includes internal and external training.  Full ‘P601 LEV training’ will be provided for candidates who do not already possess this.  We also support additional external training for members of staff to improve their proficiency in their current role and to advance their career path within the company.  We have a strong belief in promotion from within.
