Job Description

The main purpose of the roll will be to test, commission and service LEV/Specialist extraction systems in accordance with the COSHH 2002 regulations. Geographical coverage will be mainly Scotland/North England however applicants may be required to travel to all parts of the UK if required by the company.

Statutory Testing of LEV systems in accordance with the COSHH 2002 regulations and HSG 258 guidance.
Commissioning of newly installed LEV systems
Servicing of extraction systems including e.g. filter replacements/fault finding/minor repairs
Completion of statutory test reports/servicing reports to a high degree of detail and accuracy
Analysis of system faults and presentation of recommendations including costings for repairs/improvements
Site surveys
Customer Training

You will be required to work on client sites across the UK and this will involve nights away. Whilst weekend working is not normally carried out there may be limited occasions where it is required. We offer an attractive salary which will be dependent on qualifications and experience. The package will include company vehicle, laptop, mobile phone, uniform and test equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

The BOHS accredited P601 qualification is required as a minimum. P602, P603, P604, W201 would be advantageous as would any of the core BOHS occupational hygiene modules, especially W501 measurement of hazardous substances.

Preferred Skills/Experience

A minimum of two years relevant experience in working with specialist extraction systems. The applicant must be able to demonstrate excellent report writing skills, be proficient in MS Office and have good communication skills. A UK driving licence is essential
