JOB DESCRIPTION Lab Containment Services Ltd provide specialist tracer gas containment testing, inspection, validation and certifying services to a wide range of industry sectors throughout the UK. We have an exciting opportunity for a LEV engineer to join us working out of our Hertfordshire office, however the role will predominantly involve travelling to various UK sites to perform the work. A company vehicle would be provided for all necessary business travel.The core hours for this role are 9am – 5pm, overtime is available and there will be occasional working away involving late finishes and overnight stays.The responsibilities of the Fume cupboard test engineer are: - • Travelling to various sites and customer premises to perform inspection and tests • Examination, testing, validation and commissioning of fume cupboards and associated control systems. • Thorough examination and testing of LEV systems including preparation of reports for submission to clients. • Working with installation team, fitting and servicing variable air volume control systems and fume extraction equipment. • Administrative duties associated with the role to include organising calibration and servicing of test equipment.A working knowledge of BS EN 14175 Parts 1 to 7 is desirable however company will provide specific specialist training for BS EN 14175 testing equipment, procedures and methodologies including SF6 tracer gas containment equipment. Awareness of the requirements of DW154 Specification for Plastics Ductwork will be provided.

Preferred Skills/Experience

PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE Our ideal candidate will preferably have the following: • Experience within a similar role • Awareness of COSHH regulations • Self-motivation, enthusiastic, a positive attitude and first class interpersonal skills • The ability to work to and maintain high standards of performance meeting deadlines and submitting compliant reports within the speficed time frames • Competent administrative skills with a good general knowledge of maths and problem solving skills • Ability to self-motivate and work alone or as part of a team • ILEVE accredited fields of expertise- BOHS P601 & P602 qualifications – or equivalent competency qualifications or willingness to train for qualification)• Full clean UK driving licence.
